Iowa Fight Song
Get pumped with the official Hawkeyes fight song!
The University of Iowa, established in 1847 as the state's first public university, sits along the scenic Iowa River in Iowa City. As a member of the prestigious Association of American Universities, Iowa is renowned for its Writers' Workshop, the nation's first creative writing degree program, as well as its top-ranked colleges of medicine, law, and business. Hawkeye athletics compete in the Big Ten Conference with a passionate fan base known for one of college sports' most heartwarming traditions: The Wave. At the end of the first quarter of every home football game, the entire stadium turns to wave at the children watching from the University of Iowa Stead Family Children's Hospital overlooking Kinnick Stadium. This simple gesture has become a symbol of the Iowa spirit and community.
