About University of Kentucky
The University of Kentucky, founded in 1865 in Lexington, is the flagship institution of the Kentucky public university system. With over 30,000 students, UK is known for its pharmacy, business, and medical programs. Wildcat athletics compete in the Southeastern Conference with the most storied basketball program in NCAA history. Rupp Arena, named after legendary coach Adolph Rupp, hosts one of college basketball's most passionate fan bases. The Wildcats have won eight national championships.

- First Basketball Title Indiana won its first NCAA Men's Basketball Championship under Branch McCracken.
1976
- Perfect Season Bob Knight's Hoosiers went 32-0, the last undefeated national champion in men's basketball.
1981
- Fourth Title Isiah Thomas led Indiana to the national championship, defeating North Carolina.
1987
- Keith Smart's Shot Smart's baseline jumper with seconds left beat Syracuse 74-73 for the fifth title.
1951-Present
- Little 500 The legendary bicycle race continues as 'The World's Greatest College Weekend.'
