1983
- PeeDee the Pirate Debuts The iconic Pirate mascot was officially named through a contest with Pitt County schools.
1991
- Peach Bowl Victory ECU defeated NC State 37-34 in the Peach Bowl, a landmark victory for the program.
2008
- Upset of #8 West Virginia The Pirates shocked the nation with a stunning upset of the 8th-ranked Mountaineers.
2014
- American Athletic Conference ECU joined the AAC, elevating competition and national exposure.
